The ensemble average of local densities of states defined by g.(ej,e.)4p(e., r)p(e., r)) is theoretically investigated, where 7t(e, r) is the local density ofstates of disordered systems. It is shown by using the self-consistent theory due toVollhardt and W6lfle and a physical picture of localization due to Molt, whichincludes the effect of "level repulsion", that g.(ej -+e.) is non zero even if thestates around e. are localized.
