The molecular-field-type theory of the local environment effect proposedpreviously is extended up to the Bethe approximation, and the magnetism ofNiMn alloys is further investigated by using both the Bethe theory and themolecular-field theory. The susceptibility, the phase diagram and the magnetiza-tion-temperature curves are obtained as functions of the concentration and theatomic short range order (ASROC. It is found that they strongly change with theASRO. A reasonable explanation of the experimental susceptibilities is obtainedby taking the ASRO into accou?tt. Experimental 'L. and the magnetization curveswith the change of the ASRO are also well explained by the theory. Present theoryshows that the spin-glass temperatures T. are largely reduced with the atomicordering and that the inflections of the susceptibility at T. are rather small inNiMn alloys.
