The relation of anomalous volume expansion of C:Ll-Mll with concentration iselucidated on the basis of the virial theorem and the electronic structure whichis calculated with use of the CPA. The origin of the 'VOILIITIC expansion is the lossof the bonding energy due to the growth of the magnitude of the Mn local magrmeticnaonaent with decreasing Mu concentration. In conne.ction with this problent, it isfound that the magnetic pressure is approxitvaateUy C(VU3] to a linear combinationof squares of local naagnetic anoments, which gives a j?tustification for the erxapiricalfornaula in the magnetovolunae effect. The bulk unodulus of Cu-Mn and the P-Yrelation of 7 Mn are also calculated.
