In terms of the Takayama-Lin-Liu-Maki continuum model, exact solution isconstructed for a polyacetylene chain on which a :;oliton and a polaron coexist,using the inverse scattering method. It is found th'at solitott and polaron canfreely pass each other without attractive or repulsive interactions, irrespective oftheir charge and spin. On the basis of the results obtained, elementary processesassociated with soliton and polaron in lightly doped Zron.v-polyacetylene arediscussed.
