CO.-laser light irraduation on a dense plasma focus can enhance the neutronyield and the magnetohydrodynamic instability only at the threshold pressureregion and for the timing from - 100 ns to 300 ns around the peak compression.At the same time, the laser transmission is periodically reduced.
