Imaging Characteristics of a Replicated Wolter Type. : I. X-Ray Mirror Designed for Laser Plasma Diagnostics

A Wolter type-I X-ray mirror designed for laser plasma diagnostics has been fabricated by the replication method. A master mandrel has been ground by a diamond grinder and polished by a computer-controlled machine. The replicated mirror coated with gold can be used for X-rays longer than 2.5 Å. X-ray imaging tests were performed with a laboratory X-ray source.
