Two-dimensional slow viscous flow around a vertical fence on a p1a.ne is inves-tigated on the basis of the Stokes approximation. An exact formal e>:pression ofthe stream function is obtained by use of the Wiener-Hopf technique:. From theformal expression obtained, the flows near the corner and the leading edge of thefence are discussed. Pressure distributions on plane boundaries are also given.
