The magnetic suscepti bility of bismuth single crystals is measured in the trigo?aa1-binary plane over a wide temperature range from 90 K to 540 K. Moreover, weget a function to express the observed values at any temperature, assuming thatthe temperature dependence of the energy gap donuinates the susceptibility ofbismuth. All coefficients of this function are determi?aed by using a feast squaresfitting method. Then we can evaluate the energy g:ap at any temperatrure; forexample, the values of energy gaps at O K are 18 meV and 193 nxeV at the L-pointand at the T-point in the Brillouin zone, respectively. They are nearly compatiblewith other experimental results.
