The NMR technique was employed to study the magnetic behavior of Co inpsudo-binary Lavas phase compounds, Y(Fe. ,Co.). and Zr(Fe.-.Co.). overthe whole concentration range of x. The change of spin echo spect?ra in Fe richside with increasing Co shows that the Co moment decreases slightly in ,X'<0.3and then decreases rapidly in Y(Fe, Co)., while decreases rapidly in Zr(Fe, Co).from the start. In critical concentration for destruction of ferrom;tgnetism thecoexistence of magnetic and nonmagnetic Co was shown by "Co NIVIR observa-tions both in zero and in external field. The Co moment is prob;nbly inducedby magnetic Fe in its near neighbors.
