F^-_2 Molecular Ions in γ-Irradiated (NH_4)_2BeF_4 Single Crystal

F9 molecular tons in ammonium fluoroberyllate ((NH.).BeF.) single crystalsproduced by 7-irradiation at 77 K were investigated by ESR. For comparisonbetween experimental and theoretical results, the INDO and ANALDIP pro-grammes were used to calculate spin densities, Fermi contact interactions, anddipolar ones. The proposed model for the unpaired electron orbital of the F.- tonconsists of 2s- auad 2p-orbitals of two fluorine atoms belonging to Bed: ton.
