Dynamics on Transitional Ordering Process in Cu_3Au Alloy from Disordered State to Ordered State

The transitional process in the Cu..Au alloy front the disordered to the orderedstate and the relaxation process in the phase change in Cu.Au have been inx'esti-gated by measuring the time dependence of the X-ray superstructure line widthand the electrical resistivity. -the process is realized by a rapid change of thesample temperature in comparison with the relaxation time<cf this process. Theaverage cluster size increases in proportion to l"' irrespective of the ageingtemperature. This is compared vvith the theoretical result of Kawasaki et at. Thechange of the distribution function of the size of the ordeu'ed clusters is obtainedfrom the superstructure line shape. We observe two kinds of relaxation timesr.=. and r.,=.. r.=. from the tJisordered to the ordered st;rte is comparativelylong and shows a kind of the s;towing down pltenomenon. In contrast to this,rg=. from the ordered to the disordered state does not show sttch slowing downnear T,. By assuming an ap)cr'opriate model, this relaxatiout phenomenon isexplained.
