Magnetic and Electrical Properties of Fe_<0.5>Ni_<0.5>S_2

The magnetic property and the resistivity of Fe_<0.5>Ni_<0.56>S_2 synthesized in high pressure and high temperature atmospheres were invesetigated. The antiferromagnetic susceptibility and the semiconductivive resistivity are observed. The observed properties are far different from those of CoS_2 which has the same electron numbers to this substance in average. Some discussions on the band structure is given.
