Revised calculations for the fourth moments <R^4> of the end-to-end distance of polypeptides in the helix-coil transition region (M. Go, N. Saito and M. Ochiai: J. Phys. Soc. Japan 22 (1967) 227) are given. The deviation from Gaussian distribution is found to be smaller compared with the previous calculation, but exhibits a peculiar behavior. This behavior is discussed in detail. The effect of an external force on the helix-coil transition (N. Saito and M. Go: J. Phys. Soc. Japan 24 (1968) 376) is not subject to a great alteration in the revised calculation.
