A new sclaerne is proposed for calculatirag excitation spectrtrrn of a qtnantttrn dot expressed bythe itaapurity Anderson model, It is based on the second orde?' perturbation tlueory with respectto the Cottlornb reptmlsion, btrt is modified so as to reprodttce the correct atornic linuit and tofulfil the Friedel SLIIII rule. The magnetic field dependence of' both tl?e excitation spectra andthe transport properties of a quanttrzau dot is investigated. It is f'otrnd that the zero bias peak indifl'eretatial coradtrctance splits uuader external magnetic field and tlaat negative rnagnetoresistancewill be observed at zero bias voltage in case of electroua-ltole asyunmetry.
