A model of cluster formation in the multiparticle production processes is proposed. The model is based on the idea that in the multiparticle production processes quarks and antiquarks are initially formed in a "random" manner in the rapidity space before coalescing into several clusters, which decay into the final hadrons. Quantities such as the mean number of clusters and the mean number of secondary hadrons produced from one cluster are given an functions of the final hadron multiplicity.
