We investigate in a fully covariant manner the electromagnetic (EM) and axial form factors (FFs) of the nucleon and EMFE of the pion, assuming that the current interaction with the hadron is mediated through a point-like coupling with (anti-) quarks which constitute the hadron. First we express FFs in terms of invariant amplitudes which describe the scattering of a hadron and an off-shell quark. Next we relate the asymptotic behaviour of FFs to the behaviour of the above-mentioned amplitudes in the Regge limit, using the fundamental assumption of parton models. On the basis of the relations obtained, we discuss the Regge trajectory functions, especially, their zero intercepts. Furthermore we make cuss the Regge trajectory functions, especially, their zero intercepts. Furthermore we make speculations on, for example, possible relations between FFs and their dependence on Q^2.
