High-Energy Proton-Proton Scattering : Absorption Effect and One-Boson-Exchange Contribution

Proton-proton scattering at high energy (E_<lab>=5~31 GeV) is studied in terms of the one-boson-exchange model with form factors and absorption effects. The polarizations and the real-imaginary ratios of the forward amplitude are well reproduced with parameters which are adjusted so as to fit the differential cross sections. We point out that these two observables embody a property of vector-meson-exchange contribution. We have to take an energydependent choice of the vector-meson coupling constants. Related problems are discussed.
