Staggered Ground States and Phase Diagrams in the Two-Impurity System : New Phase Corresponding to Mixed-Valence States

The earlier analytically suggested Hartree-Fock (HF) staggered ground states in the two-impurity Anderson model with boson interactions are thoroughly studied by numerically solving the HF equations and calculating the energies. The complete zero-temperature phase diagrams of this system are obtained for various boson-coupling constants and electron transfers. The two types of both MX (valence- and spin-mixed) states and MC (only valence-mixed) states are confirmed. The first-type MX appears in first-order transition in the wider crossover regions between nonmagnetic and antiferromagnetic coupling phases, whereas the second-type MX forms in second-order transition near the boundaries with ferromagnetic coupling phase. Some possible implications related to the results of this study are discussed.
