Gauge hierarchies of a system are investigated in which the heavy (m_φ≃m_<GUT>) Higgs scalar field φ(x) interacts with the gauge fields of the usual SU(2)_W×U(1)_Y. Parameters of the Higgs potential modified by the one-loop correction of the gauge fields are examined so as to realize a potential desirable for generating gauge hierarchies, and therewith the effective action for the gauge fields (z_μ,w_μ^± and A_μ) is calculated in an approximate but analytic form by integrating all the quantum effects of the Higgs field. It is shown that the weak gauge bosons, z_μand w_μ^±, acquire in fact the hierarchically small masses generated by non-perturbative quantum effects of the Higgs field under the Higgs potential obtained, while the photon A_μ is left massless.
