It is shown that Luders' theorem concerning the existence of Klein transformations to connect field operators of the normal and anomalous cases does not apply, in 1+1 dimensions, to a system of two Majorana fields with zero mode. The occurrence of zero modes impairs the equivalence between the irreducible representations of the field operators of the two cases. The physical equivalence is recovered, however, between the representations of observables of the normal case, considered in a superselection sector, and those of the anomalous case.
