Numerical Test of a Modified Boson Method for Multi-Phonon States : Single j-Shell Case

A modified boson method including the SU(6) model and the interacting boson model is numerically tested. Calculations show that the model well reproduces the energies and the B(E2) values obtained in the phonon-truncated shell model.
