Critical dynamics of planar ferromagnet with a small basal plane anisotropy is considered as an example in which the crossover from the planar limit to the anisotropic limit can be studied with the ε-expansion technique where ε=4-d, d being the dimensionality of space. Explicit expressions are given for the three components of spins at criticality for q≫Δ^<1/2> and q≪Δ^<1/2> as well as in the limit ε→0 where q and Δ are the wave number and the size of the basal plane anisotropy, respectively.
