The O^<16>(d,α_0)N^<14> (ground state) and the O^<16>(d,α_2)N^<14> (2nd excited state) reactions are analysed in the energy region from E_d=14.5MeV to 19.6MeV in terms of both the pick-up and heavy-particle stripping reactions without introducing any energy dependent adjustable parameters. The cross section is calculated by formulae derived previously under the cutoff Born approximation and by adopting the ratios of the reduced widths calculated from the harmonic oscillator shell model. The magnitudes of the reduced widths are determined from the ex-periment. Good agreeement is obtained concerning overall behavior of the differential cross sections. In particular, the ratio of the cross sections leading to different states of the residual nucleus is reasonably accounted for by the analysis.
