Critical Anomaly of the First Sound in a Bose Liquid above the Phase Transition Point

Critical behaviours of the first sound above the phase transition point of a Bose liquid are investigated microscopically and qualitatively using thermal technique. The damping constant and the velocity correction are given by D=D_0(T/T_λ-1)^<-1/3> and δc^2=-a^2+b^2(T/T_λ-1)^<2/3> respectively, where D0, a and b are constants. These are due to the enhanced occupations of the single particle states with low momenta near T_λ.
