The methods of the Japanese Association of Supporting Streetchildren's Home in Vietnam (JASS) are to protect and educate streetchildren in a shelter, equipped with not only living space but a healthcare room, library, and music room, in Hue with a support of Japanese foster parents. The other characteristics of the methods are its project implementation with an idea of flexible supporting period and limited target areas in Hue to maintain the quality of assistance. The methods employed by Child Workers in Nepal (CWIN) are emergency assistance using a help line installed in various places in downtown to safeguard streetchildren against violence and abuse. After counseling streetchildren, especially female child prostitutes who need mental care (often associated with sexual abuse and exploitation), CWIN provides them with not only meal and lodging but vocational training such as needlework and dressmaking for fundraising and savings for the children. The methods of Maiti Nepal are protecting of female child prostitutes in cooperation with police and a network of local NGOs. Maiti Nepal gives them basic education such as calculation of money, healthcare, knowledge of HIV, and legal rights and vocational training such as dressmaking and needlework. Maiti Nepal sells their products to provide funds for future rehabilitation in the society. The methods of Foundation for Children with Disabled (FCD), a local Thai NGO, are a support of disabled children and their parents through referral system to regional hospitals, provision of wheelchairs, rehabilitation equipment, and scholarship. FCD surveys the location and number of disabled children in villages and towns and invites disabled children and their parents, health volunteers, public health nurses, and community leaders to hold a meeting for community based rehabilitation (CBR).
