概要

RBE of tritium beta-rays for cell killing was obtained for three types of human cells. Cells were treated either by triated water of by 60-Co gamma-rays for up to 2 hours at 37℃ and resulting dose-survival curves were fitted by a linear quadratic equation. The ratios of the dose-linear terms gave maximum RBE of 1.4 for skin fibroblasts, 2.3 for thyroid epithelial cells and 2.8 for peripheral T lymphocytes.
