The profile of a spectral line from plasma leads us to know the important properties of the plasma. In the most laboratory plasma, Doppler and Stark effect are the dominant broadening mechanisms of the spectral line. In this short article, emphasis is put on some examples of the recent results of the research for the shape of the spectral line due to Doppler and / or Stark effect. The latest review of the spectral line profile is given by Mori^<1)> who also discusses many topics in the plasma spectroscopy.
