The authors propose a new method based on "the inversibility of the fluid mapper", in which the role of the pressure P and that of the stream function ⩛ can be exchanged each other. The method combining a regular and an inversible fluid mapper to make the simultaneous visualization and the analysis of both electric flux and equi-potential lines feasible. Application has been made to the study of the electrostatic fields of both the two-dimensional and the axisymmetric three-dimensional problems concerning dielectric substances with different dielectric constants.
