We treated a 51-year-old Japanese woman with a metastatic bone tumor in the right femur. The histological diagnosis of the biopsied specimen was malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH). Prior to the biopsy, she had undergone resection of a tumor in the left atrium and the histological diagnosis was MFH. Accordingly, metastasis of MFH to the right femur was suspected. MFH is one of the most common soft tissue sarcoma in the elderly, but MFH apparently related to a primary heart lesion or involving a bone metastasis is rare.
