An ultrasonographic study to diagnose the staging of bladder tumors was made in 21 patients. These tumors were histologically examined after total cystectomy or at autopsy. Ultrasonographic diagnosis agreed with histological staging in 15 of 21 patients (71.4%), and this technique was very useful to select the most suitable treatment.
