概要

複合糖質に結合する分子は糖鎖研究および糖鎖の関連する病気に大きく貢献できる。しかし糖質の低い免疫原性のため、目的の糖鎖に結合する抗体を得ることは容易ではない。近年のファージ提示技術により、膨大な候補の中から効率的に糖鎖特異的な分子を得ることができるようになった。これまでにペプチドライブラリー、抗体ライブラリー、変異レクチンライブラリーなどの様々なライブラリーが適用されている。このシステムを用いれば、我々の必要な親和性や特異性を持つ糖鎖結合分子を設計することができるだろう。
