The vibration behavior of a graphene-substrate structure is studied on the basis of nonlocal elasticity theory. The effects of different substrates of GaAs, AlGaAs, and InGaAs on the frequency of the structure are examined. In addition, the effects of the nonlocal parameter, thickness ratio, and aspect ratio on the frequency are also investigated. Results show that the frequency of graphene on an InGaAs substrate is minimal and that on an AlGaAs substrate is maximal. The frequency of the structure decreases with an increase in nonlocal parameter. The effect of the nonlocal parameter on the in-phase frequency is larger, while that on the anti-phase frequency is smaller than the van der Waals effect. Furthermore, the frequency of the structure decreases with increasing thickness ratio for the anti-phase frequency. However, the trend is reverse for the in-phase frequency.
