Experimental Study on Measurement of Acoustic Cavitation Bubbles in Spatial Frequency Domain Using Optical Spectrometer

We propose a method for the measurement of the diameter fluctuation of acoustic cavitation bubbles in the spatial frequency domain using an optical spectrometer. Acoustic cavitation bubbles are generated by ultrasound radiated into the water. The spatial spectrum of the oscillating bubbles is captured and the diameter distribution of bubbles is analyzed. In addition, the temporal fluctuation of the mean diameter of bubbles and standard deviation is determined. We validate the experimental result with a preceding study and confirm the validity of the experimental result qualitatively. As a result, the possibility of observing the bubbles using the proposed method is indicated.
