The magnetization and specific heat of the pseudo-ternary system Pr1-xNdxNiAl4 were studied using single crystals with $x=0.0$, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7 and 1.0. Experimental results reveal that there are two magnetic states in PrNiAl4 with transition temperatures, $T_{\text{N}}=8.1$ K and $T'_{\text{N}}=6.9$ K. The substitution of Nd for Pr in PrNiAl4 lowers $T_{\text{N}}$. The lowest $T_{\text{N}}$ was found at $x=0.7$. The suppression of $T_{\text{N}}$ can be explained by the competing magnetic anisotropies of Pr and Nd ions. The specific heat of NdNiAl4 in high magnetic fields is quantitatively explained in terms of the Schottky specific heat anomaly.
