乳癌検診‐受診率向上のためにすべきこと（３）受診率を向上させるための私どもの取り組み

32年間高知県で行われてきた視触診検診のデータを整理検討し, 受診率を向上させる具体策をさぐってみた。平成16年度からマンモグラフィ検診を開始し, 平成17年度より県下におけるカバー率は100%となっている。当初, マンモグラフィ検診の受診率目標を, 視触診検診で効果が認められた20%を超えることとしたが, 16・17年の受診率は27.6%と大幅な向上がみられ, 癌発見率は0.38%であった。移行するにあたってなされた, マンモグラフィ検診への完全切り換え, 保健師, 行政担当者への指導, これまで行ってきた自己触診法の指導や啓蒙活動などの成果で受診率向上がみられたものと考えられた。
