A Case of Tachycardia Induced Cardiomyopathy with Atrial Tachycardia Arising from Left Atrial Appendage

A 58-year-old male, who had a supraventricular tachycardia resulting in a poor left ventricular function, suffered from congestive heart failure. The twelve-lead electrocardiogram revealed atrial tachycardia. We diagnosed the ongoing atrial tachycardia as focal atrial tachycardia originated from left atrial appendage. Radiofrequency catheter ablation was performed for focal atrial tachycardia. He remained free of any arrhythmias after the procedure, and his cardiac function had become normal.
