• Single crystals of three new sulfides were prepared in evacuated silica tubes heated in the temperature range 890–1200 °C. Nd<SUB>3</SUB>SbS<SUB>6</SUB> is a red transparent crystal. Is is tetragonal, space group I4<SUB>1</SUB>/acd with lattice parameters <I>a</I>=15.54(1) and <I>c</I>=19.52(2) Å. Ce<SUB>6</SUB>Sb<SUB>8</SUB>S<SUB>21</SUB> and Ce<SUB>3</SUB>Sb<SUB>3</SUB>S<SUB>10</SUB> are isostructural with La<SUB>6</SUB>Sb<SUB>8</SUB>S<SUB>21</SUB>, and La<SUB>3</SUB>Sb<SUB>3</SUB>S<SUB>10</SUB>, respectively.
