The 2-pyridone adducts of copper(II) benzoate, copper(II) 2-pyridinolate, and bis(adenme)copper(II) sulfate were prepared, and then characterized by means of magnetic susceptibility and IR spectroscopy. Their magnetic properties were correlated with the basicities and coordinate-bond lengths of the bridging ligands.
