• Reactions of thiobenzamide, <I>p</I>-methylthiobenzamide, <I>p</I>-methoxythiobenzamide, and <I>p</I>-chlorothiobenzamide with 4 equivalents of phenyl-, <I>p</I>-tolyl-, <I>p</I>-methoxyphenyl-, and <I>p</I>-chlorophenylmagnesium bromides gave the corresponding diphenylmethyleneamine and thiobenzophenone as 1,2-addition produsts in good yields.
