• It is shown that O-acetoglycoloyl-S-furoylthiamine (AFT) exhibits rather milder effects on acute toxicity to mice, systemic blood pressure and respiration of cats, isolated small intestine of guinea-pigs, while AFT shows stronger vasodilating effect on the coronary, renal and femoral arteries of dogs than that of thiamine hydrochloride.
