In the first inslalment of this article, the dynamical characteristics of the drafting process were studied by the transient response method. In the present instalment, a further study of these characteristics has been made by the same method. In this latter study, the surface speed of the drafting rollers was varied sinusoidally as an input signal, and the thickness of a fiber bundle, i. e., the thickness of the derivered roving or yarn, was measured as an output signal.
