Female mice were injected with O.2 mg of live or heat-killed tubercle bacilli, H<SUB>37</SUB>Rv, intravenously, and NAD-ase, acid phosphatase and succinate dehydrogenase activities of liver and lung were followed. As shown in Fig.1-3, the enzymic activities of the animals infected with live bacilli were remarkably enhanced as already reported in the preceding papers, but those of the animals injected with heat-killed bacilli did not show any enhancement, but, on the contrary showed some decrease.
