Several gum or filler-loaded vulcanized samples were fatigued mechanically with repeating uniaxial deformations which was superposed by the constant elongation.<BR>For these fatigued samples with various periods of the repeated deformation over the range from 0 to 10<SUP>5</SUP>, the parameters, C<SUB>1</SUB>, C<SUB>2</SUB> and γ<SUB><I>b</I>max</SUB> were measured. Here C<SUB>1</SUB> and C<SUB>2</SUB> are the coefficients of a modified form of the Mooney-Rivlin equation, and γ<SUB><I>b</I>max</SUB> is the maximum value of the strain-at-break obtained when the strain-at-break is measured over a wide range of temperature.<BR>The same virgin samples were heat-treated at 120 °C. for various periods of time ranging from 0 to 72 hours, and the same parameters were measured for them.<BR>As a result, change in these parameters with the increase in periods of repeated deformation or periods of heat treatment was rather irregular. But the change in γ<SUB><I>b</I>max</SUB>, only in case of heat-treated samples was exponentialdecrease with increase in periods of heat treatment.
