Measles is, perhaps, the most infectious of all the specific human diseases . In most civilized countries measles is a childhood disease merely because most adults have immunization resulting from previous childhood infection.A number of reports have appeared in recent years describing the isolation of measles virus in primary cultures of various tissues since the first successful isolation by Enders and Peebles (1) .The present report concerns the isolation of the measles virus on the HeLa cells and FL cells, and immunological and morphological properties of the isolated agents.
