• A case of pyoderma chronica abscedens et suffodiens on gluteal region and extremities was reported. The patient was 56-year-old man, he has suffered from the disease for more thn 20 years. The treatments were carried out with clindamycin, ciprofloxacine, ABPC, predonisolone, ZnSO4, and local infusion with iodide compound and oxygen superoxide solution together with frequent incision of abscesses. Among them, clindamycin seemed likely to be most effective against causative Bacteroides until it obtain the resistance to the same drug. And the predonisolone was also effective during the initial one month.<BR>The cause of the disease is unknown but to my experience, anaerobic infection seems to be the most probable. The relationships between hydroadenitis suppurativa and acne conglobata are discussed and differential diagnoses in the periproctal area are also undertaken into the discussion.
