Due to the continuously expanded scale of the network, and the variation of the user demand on addressing, network service providers (NSPs) will put more effort into the addressing related management tasks (e.g., address space allocation, renumbering, etc.) in the future. To relief NSPs from the complex task and heavy burden of the manual operation, in this paper, we introduce a design of an address space (re)allocation planning scheme (ASAP) in the context of Hierarchical Automatic address Number Allocation (HANA). By introducing the new functionalities, (i) chained request, (ii) defragment with the minimum renumbering, and (iii) parallel Probe/Resv messaging into HANA, HANAIASAP offers NSPs an easy-to-use and powerful tool-set supporting fully automated address space (re) allocation, auto-addressing in a totally distributed manner.
