An effective method of experience-based science education for junior high school students was investigated. It is difficult for junior high school students with poor experiences of science experiments to explicate logical and scientific discussion through an experience-based science program. College students in the lower grades have attended scientific courses including experiments since enrolling in college. The feature of this program was that college students as co-participators not teaching assistants also attended this program. Cooperative works and debate between college and junior high school students could help junior high school students to understand contents of the lecture sufficiently and explicate logical discussion. This pilot style of the extramural lecture was put into practice in the science partnership project supported from Japan Science and Technology Agency.
