An effective and educational factory tour as part of career education was investigated. Traditionally, factory tourshave been carried out as part of career education. However, educational effectiveness of tour programs wasinadequately-tested. This feature of the factory tour carried out in this study was that college students could have chancesto reflect on the tours by writing a report of the tour. By writing the report, students could also reflect on their own futurecareer including job search and clarify their own goal. Addition to direct effects of the factor tour as career education, aneffect of that on academic results was analyzed in this study. The result obtained showed that both their experiencesthrough the process making the report and clarification of their own career improved their academic results indirectly.
