Stretch pulse mode-locking offers several advantages over the standard soliton-like mode-locking regime. Here, we demonstrate stretch pulse mode-locking in a ring cavity fiber laser using a carbon nanotube saturable absorber and a graphene saturable absorber fabricated by mechanical exfoliation.
