C-4-2 Carbon Nanotube-Based Passively Mode-Locked Laser With High Repetition Rate

We demonstrate a passively mode-locked laser with the fundamental-mode repetition rate as high as 17.2 GHz at 1570 nm using diameter-controlled carbon nanotubes as saturable absorber. A semiconductor optical amplifier functions as gain medium.
